thaicarpetfactory certificate made in thailand

Made in Thailand certification or abbreviation MiT is a certification document or mark issued by the FTI to entrepreneurs who meet the criteria set by the Federation of Thai Industries. It uses the ASEAN Content principle as a value calculation method, adjusted to match the objective of supporting domestically produced products, which must have a domestic raw material value ratio of at least 40%.

From the push by the Federation of Thai Industries to inspire pride and confidence in Thai products and encourage government agencies, private sectors, and people in the country to support products made in Thailand more, including building confidence in foreign trading partners, leading to the Cabinet resolution approving the amendment of the Ministerial Regulation Announcement specifying materials and methods of procurement of materials that the state wants to promote or support (No. 2) dated December 8, 2020 (according to the announcement in the Government Gazette on December 22, 2020).

Therefore, products procured by the government in Category 7/1 must be MiT certified by the Federation of Thai Industries.
